What is an E-Rig? An electronically powered atomizer heats your chamber which in turn melts your product for inhalation. Now many concentrate devices come very bare bones, just an atomizer on one end and a tube on the other to pull from. However, an E-Rig uses the water functionality of a traditional glass rig in conjunction with the self-heating chamber, the piece provides a smooth even pull without wasting product.
What makes the chamber/atomizer so important to the experience? The atomizer is the very heart of the device as it heats your concentrate to the best temperature for vapor production. Allowing for maximum output with full efficiency the atomizer can bring out the best quality vapor from your concentrate. Of the E-Rig devices, there are few that really stand out, a perfect example of a fantastic device would be the Puffco Peak Pro.
The Puffco Peak Pro has a replaceable glass topper which allows for full customization of the device. Along with the different glass toppers made for the Peak Pro, there is a replaceable atomizer, the Puffco 3D Chamber. An innovation in the industry proving that something so small can make such a big difference.
Additionally, Puffco came out with the Puffco Proxy 3D Chamber which functional similarly to the original 3D Chamber. Cleaning is also a very familiar action to the original device.
This Atomizer is top-of-the-line and a true innovation in heating technology. The way in which the coil was designed allows for the oil to be burned on the side walls instead of directly at the bottom only when inhaling. This specific feature allows for the chamber to last longer than the previous models, as well as adding for a much smoother and more fulfilling pull.
Cleaning is another strong suit of this atomizer. Just like the previous models, it is highly advised to clean the chamber after every use. Unlike the 3D chamber's predecessor, this atomizer is extremely easy to clean. Using Isopropyl Alcohol and a Q-Tip to swab the inside is the quickest and easiest way. If there are any residual stains on the atomizer after cleaning some recommend using coarse sea salt and Q-Tip to swap it around with to get the device squeaky clean.
